About SaunaPlungeCosts
SaunaPlungeCosts is an independent site that tracks what home saunas and cold plunges really cost: the sticker price, freight, electrical work and the monthly running cost. Every price links to where it came from and shows the date.
Who we are
We're the SaunaPlungeCosts editorial team, an independent, self-funded price-research team. No sauna or cold plunge brand or retailer owns, funds or is affiliated with us. We're not electricians or doctors, and we don't give medical or electrical advice.
We started SaunaPlungeCosts because the sticker price is rarely the final bill. Heaters are sometimes extra, freight varies, many traditional saunas need a new 240V circuit, and a chiller runs 24/7. We wanted one place where every part of the total can be checked.
What we publish
- Sauna and cold plunge price tables (68 products).
- A true total cost calculator.
- Running cost by state, from EIA rates.
- A real totals database of owner-submitted totals, checked by hand.
- Guides that only use sourced numbers.
How we make money
The site is free. Right now there are no affiliate links and no paid listings. In future we may earn affiliate commissions from retailers. That never changes a price, the order of a table or which products we list. Details: affiliate disclosure.
What we don't do
- No health claims. We cover cost, not benefits.
- No invented numbers or totals. If we can't source it, it stays blank.
- No paid rankings.
- No fake reviews.
